Days of availabilty

The following represents availability for your custom photo session with Kristen

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays are days that Kristen is available for your sessions.

Tuesday and Thursday are editing and posting days 

Sunday is strictly a day for Kristen to enjoy her family

Tuesday and Thursday's being editing and posting personal online viewing galleries is very important in order to get everyone's gallery ready on time. Kristen knows we all anxiously wait to see how our photos look, so she has made it a priority to set two days a week aside just to make sure that no one is left waiting for to long. Usually she will get them up and ready before the 2 week period that she states it will take. 

Sundays are imperative for Kristen. Her family is by far her priority and setting aside a day just to come together and enjoy one another is important for her as well as her family. 

Kristen will do her utmost to accommodate everyone, so in the case that you can not work it out for your session to fall on one of her normal schedule session days, please contact her and she will do her best to work with you. An additional fee may be charged if your session needs to be scheduled on a Tuesday or Thursday. Kristen will not have any sessions on Sunday, as explained this day is strictly for her family.

All session fees are non refundable, however if you can not make your scheduled time, please let her know. Kristen realizes that life does not adhere to the schedules we set, so rescheduling your session is available to you. *

Who I am and What I do

About Me

Hi there, My name is Kristen and I am the creative force behind "Kristen Marie Photography". Thanks so much for visiting my blog! A little bit about my self..well I am a wife to a wonderful and supportive man and a mother to two jovial and sweet children. I was blessed with one boy and one girl. My family is the center of my universe. I can not even begin to imagine my life without them, it would be so empty and void of life. I am a strong Christian woman who truly believes I was blessed with this gift of capturing moments so that they can be treasured for a life time. I am silly and fun yet can be very serious. I love life, love deep belly laughs, love hugs, the sound of a good thunderstorm and the smell of my children fresh from their baths. I don't like talking about myself, don't think I am all that interesting, just your average gal from a small town. I would much rather talk about YOU and get to know you and your family.

Now for the good stuff...what I do!!! :)

I have a unique style of photography, non-traditional, contemporary with a photo journalism flair. My photography is artistic. I want your photographs to be up on your wall oozing art...with you being the focus! I want you to be able to look at your  photographs and be taken back to the moment and feel it. I don't just capture an image, but strive to capture the emotion and the mood. I am on site natural light photographer. I customize each session to YOU, after all it is all about you right? It's your time to shine and let the love show, the emotions flow and the personalities shine! So that is my whole goal, to capture you, your children, your family, your love as a couple as it really is. I tend to let things just happen, I don't force uncomfortable poses, cheesy smiles....  it comes across as very un-natural and I am all about what is natural.I  do guide, direct a little here and there and give suggestions, but it's those little unplanned moments that often will go un-noticed that I just love to capture. I believe your time, your money and your energy need to be well spent. My goal is for you to walk away from our session feeling confident and secure and even relaxed. Your happiness is what I love to feel!

What does all this mean? 

Well, being an on site natural light photographer means that I come to you. You pick your location!!! Have a fave spot that you simply love? Well, lets go there! Your home, a friend or family members home, old barns, farms, the beach, a favorite park...even old junkyards..oh yes, I did say junkyards! They make for the most interesting backgrounds! I love texture and rich color. Not sure where to go?...well put your trust in me! We will talk about what you are looking for and we will figure it out together. Remember my goal? Right, it's all about YOU! So, I would never do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable!

Clothing suggestions

Stay with clean lines and classic looks, I have found that to be best., something that will stand the test of time. That being said however, dress in the way that makes you , well YOU. Not sure, send me a picture of what you are thinking of wearing and we can talk about it. Try to avoid big bold, crazy patterns, character clothing (Spiderman, Dora, just as examples) anything that will divert the attention away from the true subject, you, your family, your children. By all means however, think accessories...I love 'em! Fun, funky hats, whimsical fairy wings, furry, fuzzy boots...accessories are great! Don't have any? I have some..let me know and I can bring them to your session and you can pick what you like. Does your child have a favorite stuffy snuggly? Bring it along, after all it's a part of your child and what makes them the little special someone's that they are. Superhero capes, tutus? Love it all! Let your childs personality shine. Not only will they have more fun, so will mom and dad. Children don't always like to be photographed, they tend to think of it as boring and they have to sit and smile. I lets kids be kids and want them to have fun. That way they actually look forward to future photo sessions. If there will be more that one person being photographed, you do not have to "match". No cloning, but do try to keep color tones similar and keep it to 3 or four different colors, your accessories can pull from what your family is wearing. You want you family to look "together" but not all the same, you are individuals and individuality is important.

Your Session

You can expect me to have notes with me for our session. I tend to write ideas down a lot. Sometimes they hit me in the middle of the night and wake me from a sound sleep and I will grab my pad of paper on my bed stand and jot it down. My husband loves this..hahaha. I really like to make each session fit you and your personality. So communication is pretty important to me in order for me to that. Be sure to share with me what you are looking for, what your "fun" things are. Your session will last anywhere from 1-2 hours. Especially if you have children, I am a mom and I know our little lovies don't always want to cooperate. So, we just take it slow, let them get to know me and feel comfortable. Eventually they ease into it all and have fun!

Custom on location session fee……………………………………………………………………$100

Non refundable deposit of 50% of session fee due at time of booking to ensure that your spot is saved for you. Kristen Marie Photography reserves the right to give your time slot to another client if deposit is not made. Remaining 50% of session fee due at beginning of session.

You can pay your session fee with your credit card through paypal, or an e-check through paypal. You also have the option to mail your check. Once your check has cleared your time slot is reserved. Checks returned will be charged a $25, session will be canceled if all funds not received with 3 days of returned check notification.
